The top 100 luxury forests encompass three distinct categories, each with its unique appeal:

1. Outstanding Forest Management

Among these elite selections are Gangjin Chodang Forest, Seogisan Cypress Forest, and Suncheon Baekisan Cypress Forest. These forests excel in their meticulous care and responsible stewardship.

2. Ideal for Recreation

For those seeking leisure and rejuvenation, the likes of Naju Domin’s Forest (Jeonnam Forest Resources Research Institute), Boseong Yunjerim Forest Garden, Jangseong Chukyeongsan Cypress Forest, Hwasun Mudeungsan Cypress Forest, and Hwasun Dongbok-myeon Cypress and Oak Forest beckon. These forests offer a tranquil escape for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment.

3. High Conservation Value

Jeonnam also takes pride in forests of great ecological importance. Jangheung Cheongwansan Camellia Forest, and Hampyeong Mopyeong Village Forest are part of this distinguished category. Their preservation and conservation efforts contribute to the region's rich biodiversity.

◇ Gangjin Chodang Forest

Covering a massive 960ha, this forest stands as the largest artificial plantation in Korea. It carries the legacy of Chodang Kim Ki-un, founder of Baekje Pharmaceutical.
